Rowling's Middle Finger; I see it!

http://www.newsweek.com/id/50787

"In front of a full house of hardcore Potter fans at Carnegie Hall in New York, Rowling, sitting on the stage on a red velvet and carved wood throne, read from her seventh and final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," then took questions. One fan asked whether Albus Dumbledore, the head of the famed Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft, had ever loved anyone. Rowling smiled. "Dumbledore is gay, actually," replied Rowling as the audience erupted in surprise."

And after years of suspicion, the truth surfaces. I always thought the purple robes were eerily queer. I guess this explains a few plot holes. Indeed, it fills up the holes quite nicely. I mean, he fills up the holes quite nicely. *ahem*. At least, now we know why Snape's always so sour. And also why he's such a prude towards Harry. He's not Dumbledore's favourite anymore! Hah!

But seriously though, this piece of information may be the missing piece in completing the puzzle that is Dumbledore. I'll have to read Book 7 again. In fact, I'm tempted to read it now, but I CAN'T because SOMEONE has yet to finish it despite the fact that I lend it to her MONTHS AGO. I think I'll read through the other 6 books also, for more hints and whatnots.

Gah, I feel like such a rabid fan.

I feel that this information's a bit uncalled for, though. Why, goodness, why was it necessary to reveal his homosexual tendencies? There are already so much hoo-haa about the books being satanic and whatnot, with witchcraft and wizardry it promotes. Even at that level, there were conservatives defending it. Now, I see no hope for the book being ever seen in the same light again. Condemnation awaits for you, Rowling! You could have shut your mouth, but no, you had to please the fanboys and girls who's probably writing fanfics after fanfics regarding Dumbledore's exploits.

Again, on a serious note, one has to wonder what magic transpired between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, or however you spell that. Kinky.

Not All Play

I was 6-years-old when I was exposed to the magnificence that was Toy Story. My memory of the story is blurry now, but if there’s a line which echoes clearly to me up to this date, it is the unforgettable line said proudly, without shame, by Buzz Lightyear: “To Infinity and Beyond”

Buzz, in the movie, is merely an action figure, a toy. He doesn’t know this, however, until the point in the movie where he makes an attempt to fly out of the window. Spreading his plastic wings, he jumps to, in his words, infinity and beyond. In the end, he falls flat on his face, to the reality which he never realized was there. The 6-year-old-me was tearing up at this part of the movie, by the way.

In life, I guess many a times just like in the movie, we find ourselves falling flat on our faces. In the past, we may have had illusions of grandiose, vestiges of great destinies waiting to be fulfilled. But then we come across stumbling blocks, seemingly insurmountable odds; we come across “reality”. Be it really lousy grades, disappointments in competition, being shot down when confessing your true feelings, plans not going accordingly, “reality” is really catching up to us.

And it’ll do so with increasing tenacity. As we grow, the day that we leave the shelters of this college will dawn upon us sooner and sooner.

The above-mentioned movie climaxes with Buzz Lightyear strapped to a firecracker, his explosion imminent. Yet, instead of seeing bits of plastic, we see the protagonist flying through the sky, using the firecracker’s explosion to propel himself to the stratosphere.

I guess ultimately, the lesson learnt here is that things do not always come out perfectly for us. Reality presents us with obstacles and adversities which may discourage us from moving forward. But we must know that there are chances too, ripe opportunities which we can use towards our own needs.

“To infinity and beyond,” indeed.

One Last Kiss by Madina Lake

She looked at me her eyes were watering
Thats when I knew that this was about to end.
Frozen in that moment, Time was standing still
And I could feel my heart, sinking and fragile.

“Goodbye”, she said
There’s someone in this world for you
So “good luck”, she said
"I went and found somebody new"

And I gave you every waking moment
I gave you everything you wanted
And now, I know you're giving me up

She walked away and I could hardly breath
I turned around and fell down to my knees.
I'm shivering as the truth is settling
I’m sure tomorrow has nothing to do (with me)

So before, you go
Could you just leave me one last kiss?

And I gave you every waking moment
I gave you everything you wanted
And now, I know you're giving me up

And I can't lie still
When theres someone else beside you
And I can't lie still
'Cause I'm all alone this time

I gave you everything you wanted
And now, I know you're giving me up

I remember when you were falling
And I was there just holding onto you
And I remember all those
Scars I wear that you carved in me

I gave you every waking moment
I gave you everything you wanted
And now, I know you're giving me up

And I can't lie still
When theres someone else beside you
And I can't lie still
'Cause I'm all alone this time.

I gave you everything you wanted
And now, I know you're giving me up

Loving awesome song. Loving. Awesome.

Change

Hey.

It's been awhile, huh? I haven't been updating, even though my promotional exams are over. I can't quite put a finger on it, but I'm...I don't know, like...not in the mood? And yeah, you haven't seen me online to, I think? "Appearing offline" is the key-phrase here. But for what reason?

I can't say, but something in me is changing. The gears are not just spinning; they're being replaced. Gah. But anyways, I'm exercising a lot lately, a garang routine will help me get all the garls.

I'll be back.
